For the Greater Good: 8th Korea Social Development Awards 2023 Grand Prize Goes to David Drake of LDJ Capital

Recently, the 8th Social Development Grand Prize Award was held on June 23, 2023 at the Korea Press Center in Seoul, South Korea. LDJ Capital Founder and Principal David Drake attended the event as one of the awardees of the 2023 Social Development Grand Prize. LDJ Capital is a single family office with global presence in several industries like blockchain technology, pre IPOs, life sciences, and more.
“It is such a great honor to be recognized and receive this Grand Prize award for our work in financial innovation,” David Drake said. “I would like to thank the Korea Social Development Award ceremony organizers, hosts, and committee for this recognition and congratulations to the other remarkable winners doing amazing work in their respective industries.”
LDJ Capital Founder David Drake received the Grand Prize award for being a financial innovator for his efforts in contributing to the Korean business, venture capital, and private equity industry for several years. He has helped companies in the innovation and technology space in South Korea with one of them resulting in a partnership with the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI).
Drake also praised the innovative and dynamic landscape of South Korea and noted that the country has become a powerhouse in modern technology not only in Asia but all over the world.
“I am honored to receive the award and I am looking forward to more opportunities of creating innovative solutions and working with leading experts for the development of the South Korean economy and, eventually, of Asia and the world,” Drake said.
Now in its 8th year, the Social Development Grand Prize is awarded to Korean and global individuals who are dedicated, responsible, and have played a pivotal role in the development of the national economy through their excellent expertise and leadership in their fields in South Korea. Recipients of the award were chosen from the Administrative Division, Uijeongbu Division, Parliamentary Division, National Contribution Division, Social Contribution Division, Future Management Division, Customer Satisfaction Division, innovative Technology Division, Innovative Management Division, Education Division, Medical Division, Culture and Arts Division, and more.
Together with David Drake, Gyeongju City Public Information Officer Chul-yong Yoon, Public Information Team Leader Dae-ki Sohn, and Director of Culture and Tourism Bureau Won-cheol Park are also winners of the 2023 Korea Social Development Grand Prize Award. Some of the notable attendees in this event include one of the event’s organizers and Gimpo Industrial Development CEO Hyung Bong Kim, KBT Microbiome Chairman Young Kwam Song, and Chairman Sang Ryul Ryu of Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute.
