Ray Mitchell

Ray Mitchell is a consultant specializing in marketing, management consulting, investment advising, and assists companies with strategic plans. Ray has focused on marketing to pension plans for asset management firms. Ray was appointed to serve as a trustee by both Governor Roy Romer and Governor Bill Owens. He served on the Colorado Fire and Pension Plan for thirteen years. He was actively involved in the investment decision-making process. He has been an invited speaker at many conferences on subjects including investment policy, market neutral strategies, derivatives and asset allocation policies.

Ray’s experience as a former real estate broker and manager add to his insights and knowledge base. He has experience as an affiliate professor in the MBA program at Regis University. He teaches International Accounting, Capital Markets, and several advanced accounting classes. Ray was awarded the “Excellence in Teaching Award” in 1997 and 2007 by the MBA students at the university. Ray is the author of “A Step by Step Approach to Business Planning”.

Vibhuti Jha

Vibhuti Jha has been at the forefront of driving Indo – US relations since coming to the United States in 1991 in his role as a Senior Executive/Region Head with American Express Bank International. Vibhuti , in his leadership role, led the development of investment/NRI deposit programs for expatriate Indians living in the US to invest in India through the Bank. He has successfully managed relationships with the institutions keen on investing in India in various sectors of the economy.

Vibhuti organized the first ever “Doing Business with India” seminar series in Washington D.C. in early 1992. This was the first major initiative of its kind, designed to familiarize American corporations with India’s commitment to the liberalization program and invite Foreign Direct Investments to the country.

Based in New York, Vibhuti has developed a boutique investment advisory, private banking practice serving high net worth Family Offices in the US. He advises clients on asset management, risk management, Investment management and coaching with reference to managing family dynamics plus related issues and challenges. His activities and stature has also led him to be a frequent commentator on television both in the United States as well as in India. He has also been a contributing writer to the Times of India.

Vibhuti is currently a Principal with Ashcroft Sullivan Jha, a firm specializing in EB5 immigration program for targeted economic areas. His other passionate direct involvement include as Managing Director with LDJ Capital, a team of professionals supporting Family Offices. He is Managing Director of Global Capital Services Group - a diversified group of highly accomplished bankers offering global services to their clients. He is also an investor partner in a company Human Potential Project - transformation management company that installs practices of performance-based management culture in.

Ashok Roy
Institutional Investors (Tokyo, Hong Kong & Mumbai)

Ashok (Ash) Roy is the Managing Partner of jED Limited since 2001. He advises CEOs looking for cross-border transactions to bring the companies to another level. If both parties agree, jED Limited will invest capital and become their strategic partners. Starting January 2013, Ashok serves as the Managing Director of Stay-Kool, a jED company that works on the next-gen micro-coating technology, which is fast replacing solar films being used in automobiles and building glass. He served as an Adjunct Professor of Keio University in 2011. He taught a course on ‘Competing in Emerging Markets’ to both undergraduate and graduate students. In 2005, Ashok founded the indiaSTAR Fund, which is a $100million fund that invests in small-to-mid-size logistics, manufacturing, and infrastructure-related firms. He is also Partner in this Fund. Ashok obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School in 1996. He finished his Bachelor in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1991. His primary residence is in Tokyo. He also lives in New York and Mumbai.

Hedda Pahlson-Moller
VC & Impact Investing (Luxembourg, Brussels, Paris, Geneva)

Hedda Pahlson-Moller is a full-time Business Angel focused on impact investing at the seed capital stage through OMSINT (Omnisource International). She sits on the boards of the European Business Angel Network (EBAN), the Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN) and Chameleon Invest, a venture capital fund. Ms. Pahlson-Moller is adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship at Sacred Heart University’s Jack Welch College of Business for Executive MBAs. She is currently active in building a co-working space and community for entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs called ‘the Impactory’, based in Luxembourg. Hedda has an MBA from Copenhagen Business School, an M.A. in Political Economics from Lund University and an undergraduate degree from Brown University. She is also currently enrolled at Nyenrode University’s executive PhD programme.


Alessandro Lerro

Alessandro is an Italian lawyer with expertise in new technologies and business creation. A well-known expert on crowdfunding, Alessandro published “Equity Crowdfunding” for Il Sole 24 Ore and is a regular speaker in conferences and workshops. As founder of Lerro & Partners, he has been advising for years startups and small and medium sized companies dealing with real estate, information technology, and media. He served as a board member and CEO of several companies involved in high tech industries and venture capital in Italy, Germany, Luxembourg and the U.K. Alessandro is often involved in mergers & acquisitions, venture capital and investment deals, mostly focused on small and medium sized businesses. Appointed as the Legal Expert of the Italian Environment Ministry for 10 years since 1996, he joined a team working on sustainable economic innovation, taking care of regulatory documents. He also advised other public entities involved in the management of historical and cultural heritage and thereafter focused on government relations for new businesses. Being innovation- and tech-savvy, in 2005 he co-founded the first italian stem cell bank and in 2011 the first Twitter network for Italian lawyers.


Tom Samuelson
Director, Capital Markets (South America)

Tom Samuelson has had a diverse 25+ year career in finance and capital markets. Tom’s extensive experience has touched all aspects of the financial spectrum including asset management, investment banking and wealth management. Tom is recognized by his peers as an expert in developing market economies and has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Tom was a Director for Grow Advisors concentrating on advising Financial Institutions on adapting FINTECH platforms and marketplaces.

As an asset manager for one of the oldest Hedge Funds in the US, Tom led a team of five as head of the Emerging Markets Investment Portfolio. The experience gave him a deep knowledge of all types of business models from all sectors and all stages including SMEs and start-ups. Tom is a pioneer in Frontiermarkets as one of the first foreigners to invest directly into Vietnam, and Central America. His understanding of how financial markets work around the world is un-paralleled.

Tom has founded two hedge funds and was a financial consultant to one of the largest private equity funds in the world. During his career Tom had had senior investment banking roles with Credit Lyonnais/Agricole, Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns and ING Barings.

Tom holds a BA in economics from Columbia University and is a guest lecturer at NYU Stern School of Business. Tom is a dual EU and US resident.
